Aidan, 11, won the coveted Blue Plate at the State Titles held at Mark Webber Circuit.
Proud mum Nicole Thomas said Aidan had been involved in the sport for about three years and was quickly becoming accomplished.
"He wasn't quick when he started," Ms Thomas says with a laugh, "But after a few meets something just clicked and he started taking off."
He continued to develop and is now an avid campaigner on four wheels.
"I'm going to that, I'm going to win it," Aidan told his parents of the ACT Titles. "He was determined from the outset," Ms Thomas said, and after qualifying third he glued the accelerator to the floor to lead the field into the finals.
Starting at the front of the grid, Aidan hammered into the first corner to hold first place and held off his rivals for the whole 20 laps to secure the Blue Plate state title.
Ms Thomas said it had been about a year since Aidan had driven the Canberra circuit and said it was an incredible result for her son.
The family race regular club meets at the Sapphire Coast Kart Club, but also travel around to keep up practice and are something of a race-family.
"He kind of got the interest through my partner Chad, we all used to motocross," she said. However, Mr Williams broke his neck on a jump and spent four months in recovery.
"We sold all our bikes after that," Ms Thomas said, but with racing still a keen interest, the family tried indoor karting and quickly fell in love with it.
Aidan was still too young to race after the accident, but watching his dad and older brothers compete had given him the bug, even at just seven years old.
So the family looked for outdoor circuits and signed up with the Sapphire Coast Kart Club, where they have called home for almost four years now.
"It's a great little country club and Aidan enjoys representing them at other events."
Ms Thomas said the family were still fairly new to the sport and some events were a "learning curve", but it was great to share as a family with both older sons also racers and Dad Chad serving as something of a mechanic and pit crew to the trio.
Ms Thomas joked the family were putting plenty of kilometres on both the car and the karts as they try out more large meets as Aidan continues his incredible form.
The next event on the calendar is the popular Sapphire Cup at the family's home club at Frogs Hollow.
Then Aidan will chase a Karting Victoria Black Plate title.
