Tathra batted out a big target for Bermagui to reach on Saturday, piling on 260 runs with captain Chris Dwyer leading the charge with 61 runs.
From the outset the club were pressing the Bermagui fielding line-up with risky singles and a few well-placed fours piling on the runs quickly despite a concerted effort from the visitors at Lawrence Park.
Jakome Roberts-Charlton joined Dwyer at the crease as opening bat and compiled a well rounded 24 runs before he was caught by Jason Berry.
Tathra were already rounding 90 runs when the openers were dismissed and when Shannon Grass added a worthy 56 runs to the board before any more wickets fell, Tathra were building at 3/160.
A few wickets started to tumble for less runs, but a Jayden Heyhorn compilation of 32 not-out kept the score flowing.
Casey Jack had been the best with the ball for Bermi, picking up three wickets.
Jack Allen was the best with the bat for Bermagui, knocking 43 runs before he was dismissed, while openers Ben Tett and Berry had been returned to the sheds for 18 and 16 respectively.
Anderson knocked 11 runs and Jack later hit 13, but Bermi's wickets were tumbling cheaply with the side finishing all-out for 122 in the 27th over.
In Eden, the Bulls had the hosts at 4/158 after Matt Bell led the charge with 65 not-out on Saturday afternoon.
Opener Drew Mudaliar had also done some damage on the scoreboard, knocking 55 before being dismissed lbw off the bowling of Ethan Gray.
Gray went on to lead Bega-Angledale with the bat, scoring 39 runs, but wickets were falling cheaply around him after the openers were dismissed quietly by the Eden bowling attack.
Captain Cody Hazelgrove-Danvers built to 17, but he was also ruled lbw and returned to the sheds by the bowling of Toby Timms.
With wickets tumbling fast, the Bulls were all-out for 103.
Wolumla also suffered an opening round loss after a low-scoring affair against Merimbula where the hosts were out for just 56.
The Knights dropped two wickets in the chase, but had run down the target in just 10 overs to finish with 2/60.
The opening round launches a 10-week competition before the holiday break with play to wrap up on December 14 before returning on January 10 for a further seven rounds before the finals series.
