This year marks the 30th since the Berry Gardens Festival first delighted garden lovers. The event attracts people from near and far. This year, there are eight spectacular gardens to explore in and around Berry. Some gardens offer refreshments and/or plant sales, others showcase art, sculpture and tools. The festival opens at 10am and passes are available at Apex Park.
Valley Movies
Kangaroo Valley, October 17
Valley Movies screen alternative movies on the third Friday of each month at the Kangaroo Valley Community Hall. Bring a friend or pop in solo to catch a film from 7.30pm.
Women do Jazz
Barragga Bay, October 20
This month the annual Zephyrs Jazz concert presents two outstanding musicians, saxophonist Sandy Evans and pianist Andrea Keller. Among Australia's finest jazz artists, Evans from Sydney and Melbourne-based Keller have achieved national and international recognition for their excellence as performers, composers and leaders. They are important tertiary educators, pioneering women in jazz and mentors for younger female jazz musicians. Women do Jazz will take place at Four Winds' Windsong Pavilion at Four Winds Rd, Barragga Bay on Sunday from 2pm. Tickets are $55.
Synth Festival
Bega Valley, October 19
The day workshops of the Bega Valley Synth Festival is about learning everything from DIY synth coding, Ableton Live to learning a free modular software synthesiser. There will be displays of a variety of instruments and synthesiser formats all set up ready for you to try and play on as well as over 10 different demonstrations of various technology, including lasers. A concert of eclectic electronica called Oscillations will begin from 7pm. Local artists will play alongside artists from further afield, covering genres from ambient to noise to block-rockin-beats - all tastes are catered for to help you boogie into the night. Spindrift Saga
Moruya and Bega, October 25-26
The Spindrift Saga are hitting the road for the 'Still Smiling' tour. Currently gearing up to release their sophomore album, the band will be playing recent singles in addition to favourites from their acclaimed debut 'Badnormous'. Coming to the Commercial Hotel Bega on Friday night and the Waterfront Hotel Moruya on Saturday, The Spindrift Saga will be joined by MAXO and Dane Overton and the Joy Williams Band.They are a band renowned for their tight live shows, "catchy rhythms, bright licks" and big alternative-funk-rock sound. The South Coast band have been together for nearly a decade and have played extensively across Australia over the years as well as touring Japan. The Spindrift Saga recently released three singles, 'In and out of Love', 'Smile' and 'Batsh!t Bay', for their upcoming 2019 record.
Wolf Stone

Enjoy an evening at the Tilba Valley Winery & Ale House with Wolf Stone. Drawing from a love of anything resembling a bluesy groove, touch of soul and a hint of pop-rock sensibilities, Wolf Stone is the intriguing new musical endeavour from the former drummer of The Swamp Stompers, Mitch Broadhead.
