As a lot of you probably know, eight months ago life threw me a huge curveball.
I am slowly picking up the pieces and I am on the way to hopefully a near full recovery.
I have only achieved this because of the amazing support and encouragement from my family and friends.
Most importantly my very patient and supportive wife Donna, and Nugget Wheatley (Dad), my personal taxi driver and walking partner.
A huge thank you to Geoff "Hedley" Lucas, my rough and dedicate personal trainer who will not ive up on me. I wouldn't be where I am now without your support and motivation.
To the dedicated staff at Bega Hospital and to everyone who travelled to see me, thank you.
I would also like to thank everyone who kindly bought tickets in the raffle and congratulations to the winners.
THis raffle could not have happened without the support of Men of League, St George Leagues Club and Craig Young, Deb and Bev Alcock, Adam Elliott and Peter "Finny" Finucane.
All of the ticket sellers, John Cooper, Geoff Lucas, Garry Arkin, Garry "Red" Childs, Tom McCoy, Ross Ritchie and the girls from Bega Newsagency, Peter Turner and the Grand Hotel, Mitch Cleary and the Commercial Hotel, and everyone who kindly donated.
We are lucky to be living in such a supportive and caring community.
