The article, which appeared online on Friday, September 27 (US time), highlights the Eurobodalla, Shoalhaven and Sapphire Coast as a destination for American tourists.
The author Amelia Lester, who has written for publications including the New Yorker, Politico, Vogue and Gourmet Traveller said on Twitter "I reluctantly share Australia's best-kept secret in the latest issue of T Magazine".
The story describes the area as:
"An abundance of bushland, sandy beaches and the country's most sought-after oysters, which are sold from picturesque roadside shacks," Ms Lester writes.
"Of late, the area has become known as well for its food."
The article comes at a time when tourism in the Shoalhaven continues to boom, even in the off season.
Just in the past three years, there has been a 30 per cent increase in tourism during the April to October period.
