Wellways Bega's Karen Wright held a brunch for residents and people who work in the health and social services sector to talk and share ideas for improving services.
"People are asking about how we can reduce stigmas and have a normal conversation about mental health. We are also really interested in how services can work better together. I think it's about really good communication, and having days like today," Ms Wright said.
Ms Wright said while many people may respond that they are okay when asked, it is important to keep asking the question.
"You have to trust the signs and trust your gut. Don't be afraid to dig deeper," she said.
