Two local producers have taken home gold in the 2019 delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards.
Both Tathra Oysters' Nelson Lake five year old Sydney rock oysters and Wapengo Rocks' wild organic rock oysters took home top prize in the seafood section of the awards at the State Theatre in Sydney.
While Mr Buckley, who has been growing oysters at Wapengo Lake for 12 years, won a gold medal at the 2016 Australian Food Awards, this was his first nomination and first win in the seafood category of the awards.
"Last night was, for me, the most amazing event that I have had the privilege to be involved in," he said on social media this week.
"It's very humbling for me to be included on a list of the best producers in Australia."
