The fourro is a special formula of handicap that lets all classes compete at the same level.
Each meet competitors shoot at three distances - 300, 500 and 600 yards with 7 scoring shots at each range.
It's a good way to experience different distances on the same day & adjust accordingly for trajectory & the winds magnifying effects as the ranges increase.
Robert L and Wayne M shot in the fullbore class with Robert returning a score of 95/4 of the possible 105/21, while Wayne finished with 49/1.
F standard was scored out of 126/21 and Russell P headed the pack with a great round of 118/6.
Keeping him honest, Bob M was just two points off with 116/6 and Mark S rounding the podium with 113/2.
Officials said the day was like being run through the wash cycle with winds wreaking havoc and able to knock a shot up to 10 inches off target.
Sunday is a 500-yard championship -prone round. Kick off is 12.30pm at Tarraganda. Visitors and new members are always welcome on appointment. Firearms Licensing Safety Courses are available through the club. Contact Robert for further info on 0417 409 647.
