Awards were presented on Friday by the NSW Department of Education's director of educational leadership Greg McDonald alongside Merimbula Public School principal and co-coordinator of the show Michelle Hulme.
The show filled the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre with 413 individual and group created artworks from the region's public schools on show.
One of the show's winners was 10-year-old Candelo Public School pupil Hayden Anderson, whose mixed media winning artwork titled The Tree of Knowledge was made entirely from recycled materials.
"We cut down too many trees and use too much paper," the Year 4 pupil said.
"It's important to reuse because then we don't fill up our wastelands too much, and have to dig holes and fill it up."
The show coincided with 2019 Education Week, and this year's theme "Every Student, Every Voice".
