A warm welcome to all our wonderful subscribers (hopefully you're not having any issues with this week's snow and icy winds)
Some of you have already discovered our new Facebook group, but I'm extending an invitation to all of our loyal readers who love local news.
The Bega District News has launched a Facebook group exclusive to subscribers and supporters. It's a place to share stories, ask questions and chat openly with our journalists about topics that matter to you.
We know social media can sometimes be a scary space, but the BDN subscribers group is a safe place where you can share your views without judgement.
While we appreciate everyone's commentary already on our regular Bega District News Facebook page, we want to offer something even more special for our subscribers, those most passionate about local journalism, this region, its stories and its many views.
Our group is an open but moderated forum. We invite full participation from our subscribers, but ask that members abide by the house rules and treat the group as you would a dinner party, a glass of wine is optional!
Our newsroom will join conversations with subscribers, while group members can also get an insight into our reporting and be part of the process.
You'll also be first to hear about breaking news, competitions, special offers and live events that we've got coming up, exclusive to subscribers.
Do you want to know more about how our journalism is produced and have your say on the issues that matter to you?
Visit https://www.facebook.com/groups/bdnsubscribers/ and request to join.
You will be asked three questions for our moderators to ascertain that you are indeed a subscriber.
Once you are in, share stories you like, ask questions and participate in group discussions.
Our journalists are waiting to hear from you and keen to share their stories and photos of news, sport and community events from this wonderful district.
See you online!
