Despite the persistent windy weather last Tuesday, 44 Tathra Beach lady golfers played a Stableford competition on the short course. Some players took advantage of the conditions and scored really well with points in the high thirties needed to even win a ball.

Best round of the day was from Jo Byrnes, 44 stableford points. This gave Jo the win in Div 3 (hcps 29-45) from Di Campbell also with a great score, 42 points. Div 1 (hcps 0-20) was won by Pat James with 38 points. This was by 1 point from Pam Hahne who scored 37. Kerry Gardner, with an impressive 43 points, was the winner of Div 2 (hcps 21-28). Bev Munz was runner up with 39 points.
Nearest the Pin winners were Edith Robinson on the 3rd, Bernadette Potter on the 9th, Noeline Bell on the 14th and Helen Coulter on the 18th. Balls were awarded to players with 37 stableford points and better and 13 were given.
Once again windy conditions prevailed on Saturday when 32 ladies played a stroke round for Monthly Medal No.5. The winning score was 73 nett giving Carney Bower the medal and the win in Div 1 (hcps 0-25). Runner up, with 75 nett, was Liz Canney.
Div 2 (hcps 26-45) was won by Marg Kermode with a nett 74. Edith Robinson, with 76 nett, was runner-up. Best tee shots on the Par 3's were hit by Carol Brown, Liz Canney, Marg Kermode and Colleen Bennett. Noeline Bell needed only 25 putts to win the putting competition. Scores of nett 78 and better were needed to win a ball and there were 10 recipients.
The annual Winter Breeze Tournament will be held next Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Bermagui /Tathra interclub competition is scheduled for next Tuesday and on Saturday the game will be a versus Par.
The Monday 9 hole golfers played a stableford game and also battled with the wind. Winners were Joyce Parbery, Sylvia Davey, Marg Kermode and Jo Byrnes. The short course will be played next week. Hit off 8.30. All welcome.
Bermagui Ladies
On Wednesday the Bermagui Ladies played a Split Sixes Competition won by the team of Vicki Hummel, Bev Tyson, Lynette Manton and Lesley Ashton on 98 points. Runners-up on a countback were Jo Mills, Mary Mihalides, Elsbeth Cripps and Barb Harrop 95 points from Pat Jones Michelle Medelis, Anne Browne and Val Schilling. NTPs 6th T. Byrne, 8th M.Hayes, 11th and Golden Shot M. Medelis 15th, 2nd shot M.Medelis Hole in One - her 3rd after 30 years.
Saturday's Stableford Event was won by Val Schilling handicap 34 with 35 points. Runner-up Bev Tyson handicap 36 with 34 points on a countback from Kris Hood handicap 45.
