The cheque will go towards the activities of the Sapphire Community Pantry, which provides low-cost food to people in the Bega Valley.
It also supports various community programs aimed at helping people overcome social isolation and build skills to help engage with the community.
Sapphire Community Projects Inc and the Sapphire Community Pantry wanted to thank the Commonwealth Bank.
The people of Sapphire Community Projects Inc created the first community pantry serving the Bega Valley in 2017, with it now located in Peden St, Bega.
"We're very excited to have the opportunity to support Sapphire Community Projects," Hannah Rossi, Commonwealth Bank Bega branch manager, said.
"In particular, we recognise the importance of the community pantry to our local community, so it's great to be able to give back and support this work."
