Bega men's golf officials said it was stronger competition than last week with great numbers turning out and some good scoring in both the Thursday and Saturday events.

Michael Krucler was the head of the class in Thursday's stableford round, carding 36 points to finish just ahead of Doug Mikula with 33 points as balls were awarded to 32.
Saturday was the Bega Bobcats monthly medal round with the day going to Alan Walker out of C grade who topped his division and secured the medal with a cracking round of nett 68.
A grade winner with Nett 70 - one over par - was Jack Roberts, while B grade was won by Simon Owens, also with Nett 70. Balls went down to Nett 73.
Nearest the pin winners were the ninth S Jones and A Buttgereit, 15th M Watson, 17th J Roberts, A Buttgereit and A Walker and 18th S Jones and N Newton.
Shaun Jones carded an Eagle on the third and S Cook won the golden shot. Saturday will be a stableford round, all welcome.
