Bega Evening VIEW Club will hold its July dinner meeting at Littleton Cafe, next Thursday, July 11, at 6pm for 6.30pm. Bookings are essential, please phone Joy Sirl on work 6492 1010 or home 6492 2128 by 6pm, Monday, July 8. Please inform Joy at the time of booking if you have any special dietary needs; caterers need to know when the numbers are finalised if alternative meals are needed.
The guest speaker for this dinner will be Janny Earnshaw, and Janny will talk about life in Holland. Visitors are always welcome, you do not have to be a member of VIEW to attend a dinner, just ring Joy on the above number to book in.
VIEW clubs support The Smith Family and Learning for Life education for underprivileged Australian children.
BEGA SENIOR CITIZENS
The annual meeting of the Bega branch of Senior Citizens was held recently and a new committee elected for the next 12 months: president Noelene Hoad, secretary Maria Russell, secretary Joan Goldberg, vice-president Carole Stoney and publicity Margaret Warren. Patrons of the branch are Joan Scullin and Mary McAuliffe.
Seniors is a social group and meets at Club Bega on the second Friday of the month at 10.30am with a very short meeting, guest speaker and lunch to follow. Seniors also have a social outing every second month. Seniors is open to all and we welcome you to come and join us. For further information phone Noeline on 6492 1418.
BERMAGUI HISTORICAL SOCIETY
Do you have an interesting object of cultural or historical interest to share? Bring along a mysterious or significant item, a family heirloom, a part of your collection or something you have been using forever to the Bermagui Historical Society's Show and Tell. Come along and tell us the story that goes with it. How you got the item and why it's so special to you. Morning tea provided, win a lucky door prize. AWL TRIVIA NIGHT
The Far South Coast branch of the Animal Welfare League is holding a fund-raising Trivia Night at Club Sapphire, Merimbula, on Saturday, August 10, from 7pm to 10pm.
