The Bega Rotary Club's Winter Book Fair opens on Friday, July 5, with 30,000 books available for the crowd to look through.
"With the weather being a little bit cloudy, it's an ideal place to spend a bit of time," the club's treasurer Charlie Blomfield said.
On Thursday the fair was being set up, with many people outside the club jumping in to give a hand.
The main recipient of funds raised from the book fair this year will be Teen Clinic, who will have a stall at the event.
There will be leftover books from donations to the Tathra and district community after the March 2018 bushfire available, and money raised from their sale will go to the Tathra recovery project.
The book fair will take place in the Bega Showground pavilion, Bega on Friday and Saturday from 9am to 5pm, and on Sunday from 9am to 1pm.
It is a gold coin entry. Some children's books will be free.
