Linking up with NAIDOC week celebrations, both clubs will showcase their depth of Indigenous talent with Tathra coach James Scott saying he was excited to see the boys run out in the special jumpers.
"The young Koori men that we have playing in Group 16 up and down the coast is quite a good thing," Mr Scott said.
"They're not only representing themselves, but their people too through family and friends
"It's something they're proud to wear and they can be proud to be a part of - to wear a Koori-design jumper is a big moment."
The jumpers will of course be different designs, but feature some striking similarities with both to feature sections of one of Mr Stewart's recent works.
Scott said they had approached Mr Stewart as an established and well-recognised Indigenous artist from the area.
On the field this weekend, the whole Tathra team will be putting in plenty of heart with players looking out for each other Scott said.
"It's a great feeling to see the boys doing as well as they are," Scott said. "They all get on really well together and they're having a lot of fun.
"The community has got right behind them and supporters are over the moon that we've got a side doing really well."
Scott said it had also been a building experience to pull together the team from scratch, while mid-season inclusions have built on a wonderful base of players.
"It's been really good, players like young Jared Cole who was one of the top guys for the Bulldogs its great for a fella like him to come up.
"And the same thing with Kyle [Shepherdson] we all know what a talent he is and for him to don the Eagles jersey again ... he's coming back to where it all started."
In a tight hussle for ladder position where one week can mean second or fifth, Scott said it had been an awesome season and he was excited to finish strong.
"There have been the injuries and this and that, but our boys stay positive and do the best they can, which is great to see from a coaches' point of view."
He will look for repeat performance from Tathra's forwards that has been giving the quicks room to move.
"The engine room does the work and the backs reap the rewards as they say," Scott said with a laugh.
The special NAIDOC Koori round games will be held in Eden this weekend.
Scott said the draw had been set to play in Tathra, but a clash with Eden swapped earlier so the switch would balance the sheet.
