Graham Roebuck, who lives on the lane, said there is a final 800-metre part of the lane that has been left unsealed.

It starts near the turnoff for Greendale Lane when travelling north towards the Princes Hwy, is narrow, a place where kangaroos are often seen, and gets corrugations due being made of dirt.

"There's big old trees, and I like old trees, but they're right on the edge of the road and it has a blind corner," he said.

It is also "busy enough to be dangerous", he said, as it gets a lot of traffic from people using it as a shortcut when travelling from the northern side of Wolumla to Bega.

It is the only remaining part of Wanatta Lane that remains unsealed, and Mr Roebuck said he has approached council several times over finishing the job to improve the road's safety.

A spokesperson from council said council's assets team had been investigating sealing this section of Wanatta Lane.

"The concept estimate is in the order of $700,000," they said.

"There are plans to apply under the NSW government's Fixing Country Roads Program for the required investment."
