Vital projects for Eden and surrounds were confirmed in Tuesday's NSW budget says Member for Bega Andrew Constance.
Mr Constance said the 2019-20 state budget "cements major project spending in the region and will continue to deliver hundreds of jobs and provide essential infrastructure".
"The NSW Treasurer has today confirmed that major projects announced prior to the state election for our region are funded and will be delivered during this term of government.
"Projects that will have such a massive impact on our local communities were promised and I am pleased to tell you all that they will be delivered across the Bega Valley and Eurobodalla shires."
Key announcements for the Far South Coast included confirmation of the Eden Port Welcome Centre; water filtration for Brogo, Bermagui, Bega and Tathra; new police stations for Bega and Tathra; a Bega TAFE specialist trade centre; continued Princes Hwy upgrades; and road sealing works on Towamba to Burragate Roads, Eden Port/Princes Hwy connectivity and Tantawangalo Mountain Rd.
Mr Constance said the budget will also keep communities better connected with construction funding in excess of $600,000 for safe, shared paths and crossings including on the Princes Hwy in Pambula and safety upgrades at Wolumla Public School.
