The seven "stars" for 2019 met their dance partners for the first time at Tuesday's launch event at Club Sapphire.
The Cancer Council fundraiser has proven to be a massively popular event on the social calendar since it began in 2016.
Set to be staged on Saturday, August 31 in the Club Sapphire auditorium, Stars of Bega Valley will challenge seven local celebrities and community leaders to step out of their comfort zones, learn a dance routine, and perform it live in front of an audience of more than 200 people, all while raising funds for a cancer free future.
Those strapping on their dance shoes to dance for cancer include Alison Mannell from One Agency Dwyer Properties Merimbula, Emma Keft from 2EC and Power FM, Garry Cooper from NSW Rural Fire Service, Hannah White from Eden Motel, Lily Warby from Bega Hospital, Megan Pricolo from I am Megan and Tim Shinnick from Australian Community Media.
They are all are set to begin their training under the tutelage of seven dance teachers over coming weeks, while also working towards reaching their fundraising targets.
Caitlyn Zalewski, community relations coordinator at Cancer Council's Far South Coast office said she is excited to see what this year's line-up of stars have in store.
"This marks the fourth year of Stars of the Bega Valley, and during this time, the community has raised over $60,000 for Cancer Council initiatives," Ms Zalewski said.
"Funds raised help support Cancer Council's life-saving cancer research, prevention, advocacy and local support services like access to free financial, legal and emotional support for people affected by cancer, as well as a new transport to treatment service in the Bega Valley, which will be piloted later this year."
Stars of Bega Valley Dance for Cancer 2019 is being held on Saturday, August 31.
