The Sea Eagles do have ground to catch up with just four games under their belt so far this season with other clubs on five or even six, but the Eagles do only have one win behind them so far.
They've been competitive with every club they come up against, but the club appears to be missing a spark or a bit of luck to finish off some of their attacking movements.
The club will be looking to reverse their fortunes when they play host to the Narooma Lions at Lawrence Park on Saturday.
Tathra's home fortress, it can be a tough nut to crack and the Lions have shown some hard-to-place inconsistencies this season.
A concerted effort out of the middle could be a tipping point for either team in the hunt for critical competition points.
The women's side are mirroring the Narooma Lions statistically with both sides boasting four wins and one loss for the year.
The Sea Eagles sit 10 points behind in the attack, but have conceded 30 fewer points than their northern rivals.
Unfortunately, fans won't get to see a top-of-the-table clash this weekend with the Eaglettes to have a bye, Tathra also have the week off in reserves.
However, there will still be three senior games on show at Lawrence Park with Pambula to face Moruya /Broulee in the women's and reserve grade.
The Sea Eagles face the Lions in seniors with play at 2.30pm.
