New Bega St. George Bank branch manager Ebony Sykes has taken over a team with almost 50 years of combined experience, and they say banking is coming full circle.
Alison Christison has been at the branch for over 20 years, and has seen the rise of internet banking and the outcome of the recent Financial Services Royal Commission.
"What they are doing with banking is getting back to the old days and looking after customers," Ms Christison said.
She said sometimes customers will drop in just for a cup of tea and a chat, making customer service the most important part of working in a branch in a regional area.
"After the bushfire people were calling in to socialise," Ms Christison said.
Sally Phillips said some customers visit the branch multiple times a week.
