In making the announcement, Member for Bega Andrew Constance said the project will make "an immense difference to motorists" and improves highway safety.
"The NSW government provided $45million for the upgrade to improve road alignment, sight distance and safety for motorists," Mr Constance said.
"The upgrade included building a two kilometre section of road on a new alignment, widening 800 metres of existing highway, building two bridges and a new intersection for Dignams Creek Road.
"Further benefits of the project include reduced vehicle carbon emissions by improving grades and curves, improved travel time, and safer crossings for animals with the installation of a wildlife underpass beneath the new highway alignment."
Mr Constance said major work on the upgrade started in April 2017, and was completed two months ahead of schedule.
"I would like to thank our community for their support and patience as these important works were carried out," said Mr Constance
