However, the Roosters will have to go through the Batemans Bay Tigers first as the tri-colours head north this weekend.
The Roosters will face off against the Bay Tigers in all four senior grades and the fifth-place Tigers may pose more of a threat than their ladder position implies.
Batemans Bay's first grade are the third strongest attacking team in the competition so far behind the Roosters and the Bulldogs.
However, their line defense has not been the best, letting in 76 points in just three rounds to mean despite their scoring ability, they've lost two of their opening three rounds.
And given that Bega boast the best attacking stats after three rounds as the sole team with more than 100 points on the tally, the Tigers could be left with a sour-taste if they can't muster the form to contain the visiting Bega team.
Josh Shepherdson has been one of the instrumental attacking instruments for Bega, while a returned Todd Ingram has filled out any gaps in Bega's forward line.
With Zac Cuzner and Joel Tamatea at the top of their game, the Roosters have been a formidable opponent early in the season.
Prediction Bega to win 36-20.
But the depth goes further for the Roosters, with the reserves sitting atop the totem pole on back-to-back wins under co-coaches Billy Hudson and Ricky Stapleton.
The duo are running a tight ship and Bega's defence is yet to slip, while also proving strong in the attack.
Prediction Bega up 24-0.
Bega's league-tag outfit are well-structured and fast, but perhaps not to the indomitable brilliance of past seasons. However, the Bay league-tag haven't shown too much attacking prowess so the Chicks are likely to come away with this one.
Prediction Bega up 16-6.
In other games around the area, Tathra will again play on their home turf as they host the visiting Moruya Sharks at the Tathra Beach Country Club on Saturday.
The Sharks have gained plenty of star potential in first grade, but sitting in third it appears it hasn't settled just yet.
However, Tathra have a way to go in their defensive structure and the Sharks might prove to have enough bite yet.
Prediction Sharks to win 24-20.
In reserves, the Sharks and Sea Eagles are polar opposites with Moruya currently in second, while the Eagles suffer as the cellar-dwellers and it's hard to see the Maroons being able to flip the result on their northern visitors.
The Candelo-Bemboka Panthers are in Pambula to host the Bombala Blue Heelers on Saturday.
The reserve grade clash could be a good battle of the big men, while Bombala are leading the league-tag and are likely to only see the Pink Panthers as a speed hump.
