The Bega Rotary Club has taken another step forward in supporting the Teen Clinic by donating $4000 to it.
In the past it has funded two nurse education programs to two nurses working at the clinic.
"It is a wonderful opportunity to continue the partnership already established with Teen Clinic," president of Bega Rotary Marg Taylor said.
"Teen Clinic provides effective professional services covering a broad range of medical issues. These services are led by highly trained nurses."
The clinic, which is an initiative of the staff at the Bega Valley Medical Practice, has been operating for four years and enables youths to come the clinic's rooms at the practice in Carp St, Bega to seek professional medical advice in a nonthreatening situation.
"Bega Rotary has been a valuable supporter of Teen Clinic over the years," general practitioner of Bega Valley Medical Practice Dr Duncan MacKinnon said.
"Their generous donation will allow us to continue providing this service to local teenagers in the area."
Teen Clinic is available in several locations across the Bega Valley. For more information click here.
