Fourteen months after fire ripped through his bottle shop and 12 months after a bushfire tore through the town of Tathra, David "Croc" Little is back on his feet.

Since he opened his Tathra Cellars doors to the public this week he said he's had people from as far as Merimbula and Bega drop into the shop just to say hello.
"It's strange, it literally felt like no time had gone by at all. It was like I'd had the shop open the day before," he said.
"After so long away from it, it was funny to see the same faces. It was like I'd always been here.
"It's good to be part of the community again."
He said despite the 2018 bushfire tragedy being "a kick in the guts for everyone", the community has "bounced back".
"It's just typical of Tathra," he said.
"Life throws stuff at you and you just have to deal with it."
