A 33-year-old man has been sentenced to six months' jail after pleading guilty to a spate of crimes, including being armed with a knife while being arrested.

Jonathon Garry Thwaites of Cook Dr in Eden pleaded guilty in Bega Local Court on Tuesday, April 9 to nine charges including assaulting a police officer, damaging a police car, driving the wrong way through a roundabout in a stolen car, driving dangerously and damaging a police station.
Thwaites was on strict bail conditions, which included a curfew, after stealing a man's black Ford Falcon during a drinking session on Imlay St in Eden on March 19, and driving dangerously "at speed" around town.
After being removed from the car by police and searched, Thwaites, whose NSW licence had expired in 2013, became "argumentative and began to resist police", court documents reveal.
A police officer then applied what they described as a "leg sweep" to Thwaites while he was handcuffed, bringing him to the ground.
He was later again taken to ground after trying to "grab a police officer's appointment belt" after being taken to Eden Police Station.
After police removed his handcuffs, Thwaites removed all of his clothes and banged on the door, before carving into the police dock and walls with his dog chain.
Thwaites then had multiple run-ins with police on March 28, initially after being seen in Bega at 3.30pm, where police spoke to him about his bail conditions and drove him to the South East Regional Hospital due to "previous injuries".
Thwaites was then kicked off a bus after abusing the driver, and after being told by police to leave the area he returned to the emergency department for treatment.
While there he became "difficult, abusive and threatening to staff", before police were again called. When police arrived Thwaites was leaving the hospital and told them he was being being picked up by his sister to return to Eden.
At 8.10pm police received phone calls from members of the public a man had nearly been run over while carrying luggage on Tathra Rd at Jellat Jellat.
When police arrived they arrested Thwaites for breaching curfew conditions which stated he must be home between 8pm and 6am each day.
He struck one arresting officer with a "chopping motion with his left hand", and after refusing to let go of his luggage pulled a pocket knife from his pants with his free hand.
Police said Thwaites was in a "position to be able to thrust the knife" at the officers, before throwing it away and claiming it was "a lighter".
The knife was confiscated by police and Thwaites was taken to Bega Police Station.
