Following a washout in round one earlier and another quick shower on Saturday, the Far South Coast Hockey season began.

Officials said a group of 10 young D graders opened the ledger for the 2019 season with the group learning new skills under the guidance of the club's older players.
"A handful of simple drills followed by mini games will see these youngsters become talented and skillful new players when they hit the bigger field," a spokeswoman said.
"New players are more than welcome to join at any time."
Competition was close in the C grade draw with Elders having a tie against Tathra 0-0, Elders defeated Tathra in B grade with a 3-1 scoreline.
In A grade Tathra proved too strong for Candelo, winning 7-1, while the Magpies defeated Tathra 2-0 in the men's.
Unfortunately United forfeit to Elders in A grade, but all present hit the field for a friendly.
Round three runs on Saturday from 10am.
C grade is at 10.30am with Grand to play Tathra.
B grade at noon will see a repeat with Grand to play Tathra, then in A grade and men's at 1.30pm Tathra plays Elders, while the Pambula and Tathra gents battle it out.
The Chicks play Candelo A at 3pm.
