The tri-colours will head south to meet the returning Eden Tigers at George Brown Memorial Oval. 

It is understood the Roosters have taken umbrage with their low placement in the BDN's season prediction earlier in the week. 

However, club officials said it had been posted on the wall at the Roosters club rooms and the first grade were using it as motivation as the season progresses, where they will look to make an example of the Eden Tigers this weekend. 

There will be a battle of the big men across the middle with hard-working Bega forwards Jarrod Tamatea, Ryan Apps and Todd Ingram to stand off against the likes of Elvis and Tsai Tui as well as Eden's captain-coach Michael Wykes. 

Apps and Wykes have gone head-to-head plenty of times in the last few years, with both previously wearing the number 13 and leading their respective clubs and Saturday should again see a great contest between these two icons in Group 16. 

In the halves, Josh Shepherdson showed his potential in a massive way after stepping up from the reserves to firsts this season. 

Shep linked up well with his brother on the right edge to score two tries against Tathra last weekend, while also directing play well. 

His opposite on Eden's roster John Aldridge injured his shoulder at the Nines competition and could again prove a challenging spot to fill for the Tigers. 

In the backs department the similarities between the two clubs continue with both offering up some blistering pace and ability especially towards the flanks. 

Jackson Whitby was somewhat contained last week by an energetic Tathra defence, but there were still flashes of the brilliance in line break and sprint potential that has earned the Bega young gun the fullback jumper. 

Joel Tamatea has also stepped up his game this year with some hard running lines and good pace to play off the sheer speed of another Bega quick in Zac Cuzner. 

Looking to counter them will be the trio of Grewar boys from the Eden ranks with Rhyse and Luke to counter the pace, while Joel Grewar provides safe hands at fullback for the Tigers. 

There will also be the Bega Roosters' first reserve grade outing after Tathra forfeit round one. 

Completing a full set of clashes on the day, there will be the league-tag where the Bega Chicks will take on the defending premiers in the Tigerettes.

The ladies kick off Saturday's games at the Eden ground with play from 1.30pm, reserves at 2.30pm and the first grade to run from 4pm.

Bega's under 18s will not play at Eden, but do battle with the Bay Tigers at Tathra on Sunday. 

Their game will run at noon at the Tathra Beach Country Club ground.
