It is an adaptation of the novel The Women in Black by Madeleine St John and written by Carolyn Burns.
Spectrum originated from humble but hugely enthusiastic beginnings and throughout its 40-year history has continued to provide high-quality entertainment in drama, comedy, musicals, outdoor theatre and drama festivals.
''The exhaustive casting process has led to a stellar cast of 32 people, possibly one of the largest shows Spectrum has presented," production director Frankie J Holden said.
"I would say this cast is equal to many professional companies I have worked with.
"Some new faces have joined Spectrum Theatre Group for this production, all bringing great experience both local and afar."
Once again Spectrum Theatre Group will not be presenting a production at Merimbula's Twyford Hall.
Owing to the start of the construction of the 200 racked seat theatre, the group is moving the show performances to the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre (CCC) in Bega, but will be rehearsing at the Twyford Hall each week.
Both cabaret and theatre style performances will be on sale for eight shows only.
The productions start on Saturday, June 22 and continue until July 6.
Owing to the civic centre being a licensed premises there will be no BYO for the cabaret show nights, but you can purchase a cheese platter when you purchase your tickets online and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase in the foyer on the night.
The show has some broad comedy, larger than life personas as well as great music and lyrics by Tim Finn, and exciting dance numbers combine with stirring and emotional story elements.
Joining director Holden is David Willis and Candy McVeity as musical directors and Amber Little as assistant director and choreographer.
