Mr Shorten was in Moruya on Friday, April 5 to announce the provision of radiotherapy beds for Eurobodalla Shire patients. While there, he said a Labor government would match the commitment for highway improvements between Wollongong and the Victorian border which was announced in the federal budget on Tuesday, April 2.

Mr Shorten said if elected to government, his government would match the $100 million outlined in the forward estimates in the federal budget.
He said a Labor government would also match the remaining $400 million of that pledge, but would seek to expedite highway upgrades.
He said he and Shadow Infrastructure Minister Anthony Albanese would seek to bring planned highway improvement projects forward.
Mr Shorten thanked Australian Community Media's FIX IT NOW campaign,.
