Di and her opponent Wendy Rogers, both first timers to the major singles final, did themselves proud with some beautiful bowling on display. While Di began to increase her lead at the halfway point with some precision bowling, Wendy definitely wasn't done and with her usual focus she managed to narrow the gap forcing Di to sit on 24 for a few ends before she finally took the win.

There were no commiserations to be had, only congratulations on a game well played. Leading up to the final there were some excellent games, in many of which scores were level right to the last end. Congratulations to all who took part.
