As a general rule, cricket is not played in the rain. However, there's a general saying that some rules are made to be broken. That was definitely the case at the Wolumla on Saturday.

Despite the rain the Pink Stumps Day campaign fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation was held at the Wolumla Recreation Ground on Saturday, March 16.
Organiser Kylie Parks said the rain wasn't going to put a stop to the day and the turn out was good.
"That's the beauty of Wolumla. Rain hail or shine, people always come together," Ms Parkes said.
The locals stepped out dressed in pink to enjoy a high tea of pink-decorated cakes, take a punt on the raffles and jeer each other on under sagging pergolas decorated with pink streamers. The umpires even dyed their traditional whites pink for the day. On a soggy oval and amid pouring rain, a friendly grudge match of cricket was played between the Pink Clydesdales and the Berrambool Bullants just after 11am.
Within the first hour of the game's commencement, $1000 had been raised. By the end of the day the tally reached over $3000. The money will go towards employing breast care nurses in communities across Australia.
The sun did manage to shine in patches throughout the day and a whole match was played. Berrambool Bullants took home the cup with a win by 12 runs.
