Events will be held across Tathra on March 17 to commemorate 12 months since the tragic Reedy Swamp, Vimy Ridge, Tathra bushfire.

Tathra resident Jennifer Manyweathers said the events were organised after discussions within the community on the best way to acknowledge the anniversary.
"We want to thank those who helped in our very great hour of need, to remember those who are not with us anymore and to be thankful for the great place we live," she said.
There will be a bushwalk beginning at 8am at Mahogany Rd on Thompsons Dr, with a shuttle bus leaving from Taylor Square to the starting point at 7.30.
A mountain bike ride from 8am at the Tathra Country Club, with riders meeting at 7.30am. All riders need a helmet and water.
There will be tree planting at Tathra Headland from 9.30am to 11am, with a shuttle bus from Taylor Square at 9am.
There will also be music, jumping castle and free barbecue at Taylor Square from 10am, with an official thank you to the community and all volunteers at 11.45am.
