The Bega club will play host to the North Canberra Bears for women's and senior trial games this Saturday at the Bega Recreation Ground.
Incoming first grade coach Scott Barton is pumped to see the tri-colours back on the paddock after a strong pre-season.
"We've had a cracking pre-season, the turnout of numbers has been good and we've been stoked, I definitely can't knock their commitment," Barton said.
Barton didn't deny the club had lost a few players to Tathra, but have added valuable additions to the core group staying on from last year.
"Yeah we have definitely lost a couple, but we've been thrilled with what we have got and the new pick ups."
"We've had an outstanding reserve grade side for the last couple of years so some those boys will be stepping up like Josh Shepherdson, Todd Ingram and Dan Highland."
The club will also welcome Tom Taylor, a former Group 16 rep who has been getting a taste of the Group 6 competition recently as well as Tom McMillan.
"Tom is a great forward operator who had been at Pambula previously and is a former Australian Schoolboys player," Barton said.
Adding more impact up front, Barton said the club would relish the return of some old heads like Brendan Kidd and Trent Rollason.
"We have a lot of blokes who are proud of the jumper and the feeling around the club is really good," Barton said.
He praised team captain Ryan Apps alongside Joel Tamatea, Scott Galeano and Scott Fuller as gifted players who can read the ball and have eased adaptation to the incumbent coaches' game plans.
"They've picked up my game plan incredibly quickly," he said. "Mike and Ryan did a great job last year and they've set us up well - we just want to continue on with the hard work they've done."
All Bega Roosters fans are encouraged to head along and enjoy the first exhibition of the Roosters for season 2019 on Saturday.
The ladies will open the card with the Begas, playing two 20-minute halves from 1.10pm at the Bega Recreation Ground.
First grade will kick off at 2pm and test their mettle during three 20-minute periods.
"It's free entry, bring some drinks and food and get the first taste of local league," Barton said.
Barton said he was excited for the trial, saying "It will give us a chance to work the combinations and gain a bit of match-fitness, anything we do from here is only going to get better."
