Produced by Gooseboy TV for Jenny and Arthur Robb of commercial tour operator Light to Light Camps, the series of interviews and promo material had its debut at the Eden Log Cabin on Thursday evening, February 21.
Ms Robb hoped the videos, now available on Youtube, would be shared widely and also used in promotional campaigns by the National Parks and Wildlife Service to help showcase the region (as well as their business).
It wasn't just the stunning multi-day hiking trail that was featured, but also the region's marine and avian diversity, unique geology, history and Indigenous culture - much of which can be experienced and appreciated on the walk.
NPWS representatives were at the launch and said they were keen to continue to collaborate with commercial tour operators in order to spread the message of the region's iconic walk, which runs 39km from Ben Boyd Tower to the Green Cape Lighthouse.
They said working with industry on opportunities such as the Light to Light Camps advertising campaign assists in driving visitation to the entire area, and promotes culture and heritage as well as natural attractions.
NPWS has plans to develop the Light to Light Walk with an $8million state government injection announced mid-last year.
The funding will help upgrade existing trails and provide for the first purpose-built hut to hut walk in a NSW national park, with eco-designed, environmentally sensitive accommodation along the way.
The NPWS representatives on Thursday said the development was a three-year project that will involve stakeholder consultations during its staged delivery.
