The charity which works with children who have severe learning disabilities has received $3,069 via the federal government's Stronger Communities Program for much-needed air conditioners for their Bega premises.
Playability CEO Geoff Johnston said the rising costs of rent, professional development and accreditation has made it difficult for the service to "expand and grow".
"Funding from both the state and federal government doesn't change, while our costs go up," he said.
"We are the pillar, we're there with families day in and out for as long as they need us."
He said the area of family support is growing in demand across the Bega Valley region, and self-funding the organisation while waiting for the National Disability Insurance Scheme to "catch up" was difficult.
"The NDIS has just been a wonderful, wonderful thing," he said.
