He competed in the ACT Track Omnium Championships over the weekend at the Narrabundah Velodrome
Competing in the under 13 boys class, Hayden faced off with some of the quickest riders from NSW and the ACT across four events.
The opening round was a flying 200 where Hayden finished a close second.
He backed it up with another silver performance in the Time Trial.
Relishing in the challenge, Hayden pedaled to victory in the Scratch Race, before securing a third place finish in the final Keirin event for the weekend.
The four results were tabulated and Hayden secured the silver medal overall, narrowly behind first place getter Bailey McDonald.
Proud family members said it was an exceptional result given the nearest velodrome is in Canberra.
