Overnight to 9am on Wednesday, February 6, there had been 68mm that fell on Bega, according to Weatherzone.
Also, by Wednesday morning 49mm of rain had come down in Merimbula.
By the morning of last Friday, Februrary 1, 7mm had fallen on Bega while Merimbula had a showering of 5mm by 9am on Tuesday, February 5.
Over the day on Tuesday, heavy rain forced the closure of the Bega library, Bega Valley Regional Gallery and part of Carp St in Bega.
Bega Valley Shire Council diverted left lane traffic along Carp St near Kiss’s Lagoon down Swan St after 24.2mm of rain fell from 9am to 4.30pm on the day.
On Bega District News’s social media account, readers wrote in with their rain measurements taken at home on Tuesday afternoon:
