Two deserving ex-students from Bega High School have taken out The Rajesh Prize for academic excellence in Year 12.
Judith Browne graduated last year with an ATAR of 98.8 and was the winner of the prize, while Riley Murdoch received an ATAR of 95.2 and took out second place.
The prize is run by orthopaedic surgeon Krishnankuttynair Rajamma Rajesh.
Since 2016 Dr Rajesh has awarded $350 to the student with the highest ATAR and $250 to the second-highest.
“I wish them all success in their future and wish to remind them again, go climb your mountains but don't forget the Valley,” he said.
He thanked Kathy Fox for chasing up the results as well as designing, printing and laminating the certificates.
