Due to the strong number of entries on the Friday night, the fantastic campdraft will be held with the final at 5pm on the Saturday.
It is always entertaining to see such fine horses and riders in action.
On the Saturday of the show, February 9, there will be dairy cattle judging, hack rings in action, show jumping, mini rodeo, dog high jump and baby and tiny tot judging.
The evening’s entertainment will continue with grass skiing, wife carrying competition, Otto bin races and so much more.
There will be live music at the bar from 9pm with the fantastic Garry Carson Duo playing.
On Sunday the day begins with the Harvest Festival church service and then the day’s immense entertainment program gets underway.
There will be a sheep dog demonstration, chainsaw events concluding with the tree felling competition.
This year there will be five members to a team with all posts and firewood available to be purchased at the conclusion of the event.
There’s a new event this year for spectators to enjoy called the Glen Mia Stock Horse Challenge, where three teams will demonstrate their ability at breaking in a young horse, while being judged. The final will be held on the main arena.
The three teams are Grant Bobbin and Bree Garland, Ben and Kristen Cowdroy and Wade Mathie and Thomas Donnelly.
For a lot of speed and great spills there’s the modified lawn mower races.
Competitors’ skills will be challenged as they have to manoeuvre their racing mowers around the arena through an obstacle course. Jade Corby is out to protect his championship status from last year’s show.
The show will conclude with the fast action rodeo, but lots of other entertainment will also be going on throughout the afternoon.
The main pavilion will be open both days for a wander through and look at some of the fine entries in the highly sought after ribbons in jams, cakes, vegetables, crafts and photography to name just a few.
