The club is encouraging all golfers to get their names in for the nation-wide event that will be held at the club on Sunday with a 10am start.
Officials said it is a mixed competition and visitors are more than welcome to join in.
“The VW Scramble is the largest and most successful pro-amateur club team event managed by the PGA of Australia,” a club official said, adding “Bermagui is very appreciative of the sponsorship and support provided for our region by Tarra Volkswagen in Bega”.
The Scramble is a highly lucrative competition with the Bermagui winners able to progress to the regional finals that will be held at Yowani Golf Club in the ACT on March 14.
“Each team will be joined by their club professional in the regional finals and in Bermagui’s case that will be the highly respected Chris Hearn,” the spokesman said.
Regional Final winners then advance to the Volkswagen Scramble Championship final to be held in May 2019 at the Novotel Twin Waters Resort and Twin Waters Golf Club on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
“This is the golfing experience of a lifetime, with four days of golf, social activities and the opportunity to play with a PGA Tour Professional in the final round.”
Rounds have already been completed in Moruya, Eden and at Pambula-Merimbula.
