It has been dubbed the Big 4 Tathra Beach Pig Day Out, and it is set to return for another year on New Year’s Eve.

Gates will open on December 31 at the Tathra Beach Country Club at midday, with the first of seven races to be held at 1pm.
Pigs will be auctioned prior to each race, with winners taking home half of the prize pool. Entry will be $10 for adults and children are free.
There will be a market day with food and wine, jumping castles and children’s activities.
“We depend on support from local businesses, and this major sponsorship from Tathra’s Big 4 Holiday Park, means a lot to us in running an event like this,” Tathra Lions Club’s Rex Kermode said.
The event is as much about showing visitors and holiday makers to our town a great time, as it is about raising much needed funds for our community.”
“But the fun doesn’t finish with the race day. From 6pm there will be entertainment at the Tathra Beach Country Club to see in the New Year.
“So get your dancing shoes on,” he said.
