Rob Morton, Darren Lydiard, Luca Dorrough and Tony Hastings all took part in the regatta.
Unfortunately, the club’s home race meet at Wallagoot had to be cancelled due to the threat of strong winds.
Morton was the winner of the invitation race and backed up this result, finishing second in his division for all monohulls apart from Lasers.
“This was a great result, as Rob proved to have good speed and tactics in conditions that ranged from 15-knot blasts to no-wind drifters,” Hastings said.
Meanwhile, Hastings said he was stoked also finish on the podium.
“We finished third, which we consider an excellent recovery after going terribly in the very light winds,” he said.
A young skipper took charge of the winning boat – an Elliott trailer-sailor, which Hastings said had been astonishingly fast all weekend.
Accepting his prize, the skipper thanked his three grandparents who had all crewed with him for the event.
Kylie from the Southern Highlands beat out the blokes in the multihull division and a junior won the lasers proving that all kinds of people can be gifted sailors.
The sailors thanked organisers for their hospitality.
This weekend, the Wallagoot Lake Boat Club will host its last race of the year before a four-week break over summer.
The club will hold sprint races which help the racers train for the various National Titles and other events they will contest in the coming weeks.
