A 21-year-old from Bemboka and 22-year-old from Yellow Pinch both pleaded not guilty to two counts of aggravated break, enter and steal and being carried in a vehicle without the consent of the owner in Bega Local Court on Tuesday, November 27.
Police allege the pair stole a mobile phone and $400 cash from a Wapengo home sometime after 9.30pm on January 19 this year before breaking into the Bega Country Club in the early hours of January 20 and stealing the cash machine.
Police allege the pair were in a Mazda utility taken from the Wapengo home on January 19, which was found by police partly submerged in the Bega River at Bega on January 21.
Magistrate Doug Dick adjourned the pair’s matters to Bega Local Court on December 11.
