Ms Thorpe’s LJ Hooker colleagues celebrated her anniversary in the industry with birthday party on Wednesday, November 21, as she now adds her name to the company’s prestigious 21 Club.
“It has changed a lot. The rules and regulations have changed, and you are answerable to a lot of people,” she said.
“There’s also less vacancies around than there used to be.
“There’s not as many places available to rent as when I started.”
She began with the company in 1997, and will receive national recognition from the company’s head office.
Ms Thorpe said the Bega Cheese factory and the new South East Regional Hospital are drawing new residents to the region each year, many looking for a place to call home.
