Bowlers from Eden, Tura Beach, Bega, Candelo and Bombala visited Club Sapphire for the unfurling of the state pennant flag on Wednesday, October 31.
NSW bowls president Maryann Parcell made a special visit from Sydney for the event.
“In the state playoffs they only beat my team by 3 points, truly though the flag is well deserved. They played so well” Ms Parcell said.
Women teamed up for some social bowls before heading to the function room for afternoon tea.
“It is such a big turn out with representatives of Merimbula and other clubs of the area, it has been wonderful to have Maryann here to mingle with the ladies before she heads back to Sydney.”
