Men
A pleasing week of golf on the “blue flood course” with 40 starters competing in Thursday’s DWWW. In an unusual twist Pommie George unfortunately failed to figure in this week’s prize money!
Another Mr Consistency, Peter Crain, took the honours in A grade in a countback from a disappointed Geoff Bills on 41, while in the B grade Whiz Johnson’s 37 was good enough to also win on a countback from Barry Grant. Moth Tierney jagged a beauty to 0.62m to get golden shot.
Saturday’s play was interrupted by a passing storm, but some hardy souls completed the course in both rain and lightning only to see Mick Egerton take out A grade on 39 from Matty Taylor’s 38.
Brian Holland won B grade on 34 in a countback from Peter Hughes. C grade fell to Loz Evans on 33 just nudging Macey on 31. This was also the last qualifying round for the KTC Shootout. Scotty Taylor claimed golden shot to 2.79m.
