The resident, who did not wish to be named, said it appeared a large party was held on the night of Saturday, October 20 on Crown Land just south of the town off the Fire Shed Trail, which is on the way to Boulder Bay.
Pictures taken at the location show rubbish strewn about the area, including plastic bags, glass bottles, tin cans, boxes and multiple large wooden pallets.

“[T]hey had total disrespect for the environment and left the bush with hundreds of empty alcohol containers and a lot of broken glass,” the resident said.
On Tuesday, a spokesperson from Bega Valley Shire Council said council was aware of the issue.
“Our rangers are already on the front foot in investigating the matter and have the authority to issue a clean up notice if the responsible party can be identified,” the spokesperson said.
“If those responsible are not able to be identified, the clean up becomes a matter for the land owners/managers (in this case Crown Lands).
“In general incidents like this are unfortunately somewhat common during the warmer months of the year, which is obviously very disappointing.”
