Seven of the 10 bollard lights have been damaged across the past couple of weeks. Repairs are underway and measures such as security cameras are being explored, but Bega Valley Shire Council said this continues to come at a cost to the broader community.

The funding and timing of other planned projects is impacted every time incidents like this occur, council said. The lights were installed in April as part of the Safer Streets Program.
