“NPWS is working closely with RFS to mop-up any smouldering material internally on the fire ground,” a NPWS spokesperson said.
Crews will now patrol the fire ground until they are “confident the fire is out”.
The spokesperson said the fire has been downgraded, and its emergency S44 status revoked.
